Malaysian Borneo: Sabah & Sarawak

Borneo – a name to inspire notions of travel and adventure, of rainforest, mountains and of course incredible cultures and creatures. But this incredible island is not easy to categorise – indeed as the 3rd largest island in the world it is split between three countries – Brunei, Indonesia and of course – Malaysia.

And even Malaysian Borneo is split between two distinct regions – Sabah and Sarawak. Sabah with it’s state capital of Kota Kinabalu is the most renowned and developed – for it is here that you can climb the largest mountain in Malaysia – Mount Kinabalu, before heading down to recover on incredible beaches and islands, before traversing off to visit the Orang Utans in Sepilok (indeed Borneo & Sumatra are the only two islands you can see Orang Utans in the wild).

The reality is that no two Borneo holidays are identical – so all our trips are tailor made. Drop us a line with an indication of what you’d like to see, just ask to speak to a Borneo specialist!
