Ethos Travel was founded by Sam Collins and Tim Willcox, both vastly experienced in the travel industry and always in roles focusing on South East Asia.

Having worked for small, medium, large and online Tour Operators we believed that most quality travel companies largely ‘glossed over’ this fantastic area of the world, typically featuring the region as a stop-over destination, or a sideline to their main focus countries.

These same companies would typically feature mostly international, generic chain hotels due to their UK marketing power, thus ensuring a uniform choice of, frequently bland, hotels throughout the majority of brochures.

We believe that happier experiences are a reflection of happy staff, hotels with character which are surrounded by communities that benefit from the effects of tourism, as opposed to the benefit of international shareholders.
